Trump has previously faced criticism regarding the “Truth API,” a premium feature on Truth Social that costs $100,000 per month and grants early access to announcements about policy decisions that could influence financial markets. Following this, U.S. Senators petitioned the Securities and Exchange Commission in July, urging an investigation into whether Truth Media, the company operating Truth Social, was violating applicable federal securities laws through this API.

Despite the posts, some experts have maintained caution, suggesting that while Iran’s gross domestic product is thought to have contracted and inflation has risen to historic levels, there is no guarantee of immediate economic collapse.
Other images included depictions of Trump watching explosions from a warship deck or swinging an American-flag-themed hammer toward a map of Iran. One image specifically showed explosions at Kharg Island, captioned, “Bye bye, Kharg.”

His posts also asserted American dominance over various global locations. Several AI images depicted countries, territories, and natural landmarks as belonging to the U.S. These included showing the Strait of Hormuz labeled as a “new U.S. Territory,” and depicting New Mexico as “New America.” Furthermore, one image claimed ownership of the Moon with the text, “The Moon is Ours,” and another labeled Lake Ontario—a body of water currently shared between the U.S. and Canada—as “Lake America.” This followed an executive order signed by Trump directing the federal government to rename Lake Ontario.
In response to the executive order, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney stated that Canada would continue to refer to the body of water as Lake Ontario.
