Chinese technology company Moonshot AI, the developer behind the Kimi platform, is implementing a novel approach to AI service access. Instead of traditional paid subscriptions, the company is now linking everyday consumer spending to the acquisition of computing quotas and AI benefits via a specialized credit card.
Strategic Partnership and New Offering
Moonshot AI has collaborated with the Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) and American Express to introduce what they describe as “the world’s first AI native credit card.” This initiative aims to integrate artificial intelligence services directly into consumers’ daily financial transactions.
Details of the Premium Platinum Tier
The card is available in multiple versions, with the premium Platinum tier offering specific benefits. Cardholders who spend a minimum of 5,888 yuan (equivalent to US$830) within a single month are eligible for a two-month subscription to Kimi’s advanced membership plan. This service, formerly known as Allegretto, has been rebranded as Pro and is priced at 199 yuan (or US$30) per month.
This model suggests that routine spending can translate into tangible utility and access to high-level AI tools, providing a unique financial incentive for utilizing the platform’s services.
