Xbox has announced a new rotation of titles departing the subscription service, with a significant removal scheduled for September 15. Among the 10 games exiting Game Pass is the popular sci-fi RPG, *Cyberpunk 2077*, developed by CD Projekt Red. The game will depart the service after having been available for only six months, having been added in March.

This removal follows other recent changes, including the departure of *The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt* last month. Industry speculation suggests that the removal of titles may be designed to encourage players to purchase upcoming game remasters, such as the one slated for release on September 29. For *Cyberpunk 2077*, while a sequel is not imminent, developer CD Projekt Red is expected to capitalize on renewed interest, given that a second season of the acclaimed *Edgerunners* anime is set to premiere on October 20, exclusively through Netflix.

Several of the departing games are highly regarded titles. *Dead Cells*, a 2018 roguelike Metroidvania, is considered a major loss for the service. Fans of the title will likely monitor the next release from developer Evil Empire, *Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse*, which is scheduled for October 15. Similarly, *Spiritfarer*, an emotionally resonant independent game about guiding the deceased to the afterlife, is recommended for players to experience before its removal from the service.
New Content Joining Game Pass
In terms of new content, Game Pass is slated to welcome seven new titles. The service will receive *Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War* starting on September 8.
